Rare Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Vaseline & Cranberry Glass Oil Lamp Art Glass.Superb rare vaseline glass Victorian Art Nouveau Oil lamp.Has a stunning vaseline uranium and cranberry glass shade with a faceted cut cranberry glass font standing on a brass square footed tapered ionic column base.(which you hardly ever found,mainly corinthian columns).It is all working the glass shade and font are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks etc,.There is the odd air bubble,inclusions,imperfections in the glass as these were hand made/mouth blown.The twin wick,twin thumbwheel burner with extinguisher works fine though there is a kink/crease on the bridge as shown in the photos….does not affect in anyway and does not detract when the oil lamp is set up.The brass gallery has two lugs and a screw that works ,but does not tighten the shade with the old cork mounts helping to seat the shade….and has worked over the years very well judging at its condition. Great quality very rarily seen for sale. The glass chimney is original mouth blown of ovoid form. Condition is overall very good. Measures around 29.5″tall to top of shade. The shade measures a fraction under 10″ tall and has around a 5.3″ diameter at bottom and on its own weighs 1.2 kilos. Base measures around 5.5″square.An absolute superb addition to any collection,or great gift to a special person,would make a lovely anniversary gift?.Will display superbly in any period,contemporary setting.
