Spicy Stir-Fried Cabbage
via: www.nytimes.comuse the same basic spice combinations and make with whatever green leafy veggies you have. i like making it with bagged salad that is about to go wilty. you can also use sushi ginger in place of fresh if you don’t have fresh. replace star anise with chinese five spice powder/oil or huajiao spice/oil. #asiangfprobs This is a vegetarian version of a classic Chinese stir-fry. The authentic versions I’ve encountered include some pork or bacon, but the chilies, ginger, garlic, star anise and the cabbage are flavorful enough without meat. I’ve added carrots for color.
