With excellent quality nylon rope, and a silver colour plated steel hoop attached for easy and stylish hanging. Available in 3 colour options: light, medium and dark. The scaffold boards are approximately 22.5cm wide, and 3.5cm deep. The shelf will have an overall drop of around 40-45cm. If you prefer a shelf with the metal bands, on one or both ends, please leave us a message when ordering. The scaffold boards we use are reclaimed, so each board is unique and will have its own signs of wear depending on its age and how it’s been used. This is all part of the character of course but does mean that the colour and overall finish will vary from board to board, and may differ from that shown in the photos. The boards can have branding of the scaffold company name on the sides, cracks and dents, burns, paint remnants (especially on the ends where the scaffolding companies apply paint in order to identify their boards), metal nail plates and even the odd staple or sunken nail. We sand the boards and remove any sharp nails etc, but we try to leave as much character as possible for an authentic industrial look. If you have a particular preference regarding how much character you’d like your shelf to have (or not have) please let us know when ordering or contact us in advance to discuss whether our rope shelves are for you! The shelves come with the rope and steel ring attached, which can easily be hooked onto a suitable wall fixing (not included). It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the shelves are installed safely by a competent person. We would advise against positioning the shelf directly over a radiator due to the risk of cracking and warping due to the proximity to direct heat. We will aim to get your order to you as quickly as possible, but because our items are made to order please allow up to 3 weeks for dispatch. Free shipping is for standard delivery via courier to mainland UK only. Delivery to Northern Ireland and UK Highlands & Islands may attract a shipping fee. Please contact us to check before placing your order. If you would prefer to collect in person (from Birtley, Gateshead) this can also be arranged free of charge.
