The wrap skirt pattern features a high waist, tied up closure and full lining, which means an overlocker/serger is not required. The skirt can also be sewed without lining. This “Belle Boh?mienne” jean skirt is one of my line of Renaissance Denim Couture, the name I chose for my line of couture because I take vintage denim and give it new life with French bohemian flair. (This listing is for a made to order jean skirt similar to the one in the picture, which has sold, but in your size and desired length. The original lace is no longer available, but I will use a similar beige lace.) To make this Renaissance Denim couture, I took a pair of size 6 vintage jeans with a v-shaped yoke and cut off the top. Then, I took LOTS of gorgeous, shimmery beige lace and made ruffled layers with an asymmetric hem in the front. (The lower half is fully lined in shimmery silk.) The left front is cut shorter, just below knee length, (26″) and the back is floor length (40″). (Perfect for showing off your tattoo or maybe one of my French bohemian anklets!) For a final, romantic “boh?mienne” touch, I made a rose out of the satiny lining material and dangled some tattered lace from it. The finished couture is funky, feminine, exotic, romantic, and very French chic! Boh?mienne! All of my designs are copyrighted. Please do not use or imitate my photos, descriptions, designs or ideas. DIY: Chain Scarf Halter Update a scarf into a lux halter top with this quick under 5 minute tutorial. You can do the “no sew” knotted option (white dress form) or sewn (black dress form). Supplies: -Scarf (mine measured 26″ x 26″) -Chain or trim. With wrong side up, fold the bottom in an accordion like sections to just about half way point. Press the fold into place. You can add some stitching on the bottom here if you’d like. I used my decorative stitching from my Brother Machine. Cut chain to fit around your neck and use a clasp with pliers to secure it. Unless you have a chain necklace you can use. Trim will work fine as well and you can tie a bow in the back. At this point you can stitch the collar line around the chain or knot it around shown down below. Knot around the chain and pull tight to secure. And that’s it, I like to wear this with a jacket and a thick gold chain.
