Bleu Redux Upcycle Subway Tile Denim Tote
Siempre he amado denim! ?Lo que no es para amar? Es atractivo, durable y s?lo se pone mejor con la edad (recuerdo que era cierto para m?!). Tambi?n me encanta la idea de reciclaje y reutilizaci?n y estoy a menudo en la b?squeda de una manera de dar vida algo nueva. Cuando mis hijos eran I’ve always loved denim! What’s not to love? It’s attractive, durable, and only gets better with age (wish that was true for me!). I also love the idea of recycling and repurposing and am often on the lookout for a way to give something new life. When my sons were little boys, I often made them little suits out of old golf pants (plaid polyester, oh my!!!). I recently ran across something that inspired me and my stash of old blue jeans soon fell prey to a reconstruction obsession. I’m calling my inspiration “Bleu Redux by Grandma Rieta”. This design came to life because I apparently spend way too much time watching HGTV. One of the fixer upper type episodes caught my attention because I really liked the subway tile back splash treatment in a remodeled kitchen. Eureka! Tote inspiration! Seriously, I kinda love this one because it’s so random, yet not. Several gradients and varying lengths of denim are used which creates a very nice visual for this tote (at least, I like it.) It measures a roomy 14 inches (35.56 cm) high (about 26-27 inches [67.31 cm] including handles), by 17 inches (43.18 cm) wide, by 5 inches (12.7 cm) deep (approximately). The sturdy handles are long enough to carry the tote over your shoulder, but can also be carried like a purse. The bag is fully lined, has a magnetic snap closure, and two interior pockets. There is also a recycled pocket on the back of the purse, which just happens to be perfect for a cell phone – super handy! The front and the back of the purse are different so you can turn it either direction for a totally different look. Please be aware that due to the recycled nature of these bags, there may be some minor color or gradient variation between totes. I will do my best to represent these as accurately as possible but short of photographing each bag and listing it separately (which could get really cumbersome), I will do my best to describe these in “Variations” as needed. I have several ideas for other “Bleu Redux” products and am excited to get busy on them. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these totes!
