2″ Thick Solid Wood Floating Shelves / Rough Sawn Wood

2

Our beautiful 2″ thick solid wood floating shelves. SOLID WOOD, HEAVY DUTY. These are not the cheap imitation. Comes with steel hardware and ready to hang. PRICES ARE FOR EACH SHELF COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE. We can build them whatever dimensions you want. Comes with the necessary HEAVY DUTY iron shelf bracket and instructions for easy installation. The steel shelf bracket must be screwed into wall studs or wall blocking. The wood shelves then slide onto the bracket leaving beautiful solid wood floating shelves. The solid wood shelves already have the holes drilled into them so they all you have to do is slide them onto the brackets. *****In order for the shelves to be flush with the wall you must recess the steel bracket into the wall by cutting away the sheetrock, or tile up to the bracket. The back of the bracket is 1/4″ thick.****These are HEAVY DUTY. When mounted correctly, these brackets will support maximum distributed loads from 90 lbs. to 225 lbs., depending on the length of the shelf. Our wood shelves are gorgeous solid wood. These are rough sawn, quality pieces of wood. “Rough sawn” means that these shelves are purchased straight from the mill, left unplaned so their measurements are actual measurements, not a nominal measurement that is used for most lumber. They are actually 2″thick. NOT what you find at Home Depot. Our standard wood is Pine, but if there is a certain wood you are wanting, let us know and we will give you a quote for that specific wood. You choose the finish. They can be distressed to give them a beautiful reclaimed wood look complete with saw marks and nail holes. Or, if you prefer a less rustic, we can sand them leaving them with less distressing (Please note that all of the Pine shelves will have knots and some distressing).Pine wood is a softer wood. I like to use it because it is light weight and more rustic looking, and when it gets knicked it just looks cooler! But if you are looking for a harder wood, more modern looking with less knots we also offer Ash Wood or White Oak. These will also be solid wood. The price for these woods is 20% more. Choose from any Minwax stain. The stain color in the first listing photo of the 2″ thick shelves is a custom mix of Puritan Pine and Briarsmoke. If there is a custom color you want, send me a picture and I will let you know if I can match it. PRICES ARE FOR EACH SHELF. Prices are for 2†thick shelves. If you want something thicker please see this listing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/679430433/3-thick-solid-wood-floating-shelves-with?ref=shop_home_active_1POLYURETHANE IS NOT INCLUDED. If you would like to add a Satin finish Polyurethane top coat to your shelves please see this listing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/667872888/add-polyurethane-to-your-shelves?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1Instructions for Installation:The steel brackets have pre-drilled holes every 2â€. We suggest that the steel brackets be recessed into the wall and mounted directly to studs and blocking. To do this, remove the drywall and position the shelf bracket on the wall with the pre-drilled holes along the top edge. Mark the left-most hole on the stud, remove the bracket and drill a pilot hole. Reposition the bracket, drive a screw into the freshly drilled hole, then use a level to position the right side of the bracket. Once it’s in position, mark the remaining holes on each stud, and drill a pilot hole for each. Raise the right side of your bracket into position, and drive the remaining screws into place.Slide your shelf over each bracket. Have something else in mind? Let us know and we can make it! We are happy to create a custom order to provide you with the exact item that you are looking for.
