Luminous Fronds Glow in the Shade! #bulb

This is one ‘Ghost’ you will want to see standing in your garden! A child of Lady Fern and Japanese Silver-Painted Fern, this cultivar may prefer the shade, but it doesn’t hide in the shadows, instead making its presence known with an illuminating glow! The silver-gray fronds contrast strikingly with blue and green leaved plants.

Ghost’ takes the best of both parents, showing finely divided foliage in a vertical habit that may raise the hair on your neck! Striking enough for deployment as a specimen, it specializes as an accent, bringing out the color in its companions. The American hybrid triangular petals add to the Fern’s icy appearance.

Glorious as an accent for blue-leaved partners, ‘Ghost’ gets along well in any type of soil and can handle bouts with dry conditions. It reached 2 to 3 feet in height and 1 1/2 to 2 feet in width after several years of consistent, but moderate growth. An amazing selection for groundcover or containers, it’s versatility is scary! Zones 4-8.
